PartnerRe Capital Management (PCM) is seeking an experienced analytics professional to support the continued growth of its reinsurance and insurance-linked investment platform.

About the role

This role sits at the intersection of portfolio analytics, structuring, valuation, reporting, and platform development. Working closely with the Head of Portfolio & Analytics, you will play a key role in strengthening and scaling the analytical capabilities that support portfolio construction, investor reporting, and investment decision-making across the platform.

This is a high-ownership role within a lean and evolving investment platform, suited to someone who combines strong technical depth with commercial awareness, initiative, and a practical problem-solving mindset. Overall, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Take ownership of analytical workstreams supporting portfolio construction, structuring, and investment decision-making across reinsurance and insurance-linked investment portfolios
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and analytical models used for portfolio evaluation, monitoring, optimization, and reporting
  • Produce technical analysis and portfolio insights for internal decision-making, investor reporting, portfolio reviews, and renewal discussions
  • Work closely with the Administrator, Valuation Services Provider, Finance & Operations, and wider PartnerRe stakeholders to coordinate analytical deliverables across valuation and reporting processes
  • Build, improve, and automate tools, workflows, and reporting infrastructure to deliver reliable, scalable, and timely portfolio insights
  • Contribute to investor presentations, pitches, due diligence requests, and other marketing materials
  • Help strengthen the robustness, repeatability, and governance of portfolio analytics and reporting processes
  • Partner with and support the development of junior analytical resources within the team

About you

  • Approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in reinsurance analytics, portfolio management support, catastrophe analytics, structuring, or ILS
  • Strong understanding of property catastrophe reinsurance and portfolio event-loss mechanics; familiarity with ILS retrocession, ceded reinsurance, reinsurance accounting or capital management structures is highly desirable.
  • Experience with long-tail lines of business is an asset
  • Ability to combine rigorous technical analysis with practical commercial judgment
  • Track record of building, improving, and scaling analytical tools, models, and reporting processes
  • Comfortable operating with significant ownership and accountability in a lean, fast-moving environment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to create structure and clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Confidence interacting with multiple stakeholders across underwriting, finance, operations, valuation, and investor-facing functions
  • High level of initiative, attention to detail, and personal accountability

Technical skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
  • Strong coding capability in R; familiarity with Python and SQL or other coding languages is advantageous
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Expected to actively leverage AI tools, LLMs, and automation techniques to improve analytical scale, coding workflows, reporting efficiency, and process robustness
  • Familiarity with RMS and/or AIR catastrophe modelling platforms and data architecture is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of portfolio analytics, valuation inputs, and reporting requirements within reinsurance and/or ILS environments

Mindset

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working under pressure and delivering high-quality output during demanding periods
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-expectation environment
  • Hands-on, proactive, and execution-oriented
  • Naturally curious with a strong continuous-improvement mindset
  • Comfortable challenging existing approaches and proposing practical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Collaborative, pragmatic
