About the Position
Underwriting Property (Energy Onshore, Mining & Utilities, Wholesale Property) and Aviation through a network of London and Zurich based brokers and processing necessary internal and external regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Underwrite New and Existing Non-Life Business submissions and queries from our broker partners and manage in a timely and efficient manner, all within PartnerRe Ireland Insurance (PRIIdac) agreed SLAs. This role requires excellent communication skills as there is daily interaction with brokers in binding insurance business.
• Work closely with Recommending Business Experts to ensure all Underwriting and Legal criteria are adhered to in line with Underwriting Authority levels.
• Support preparation of internal and external regulatory reporting (PRIIdac Monthly IPT filings, Terrorism Pools) and liaise with Insurance Program Team on all US Regulatory reports.
• Manage External relationship with PRIIdac Terrorism Pools which involves quarterly and annual reporting on Terrorism Pools.
• Build rapport & relationships with our internal and external partners and existing broker network.
Skills/Competencies
• Good communicator with strong relationship management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail, ability to interpret data and ability to follow work through.
• Can prioritise and manage own work while considering the greater impact on the team.
• Have an enthusiastic, professional, positive and flexible approach that includes the ability to self-motivate and work as part of a team (both local and remote globally).
• Be resilient in our work and adapt to changing conditions.
• Challenger mindset.
• Good IT Skills (use of MS Office Products).
• Experience of SICS is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting Property, Energy Onshore, Mining and Aviation Classes of Business an advantage
• Hybrid role, with WFH Monday and Friday and office attendance required Tuesday to Thursday inclusive.
• Degree or equivalent.
•Minimum of Insurance Institute of Ireland (III) CIP qualification, or APA Qualified and in the process of completing CIP.
