About this job:

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Actuarial Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing actuarial models and tools, maintaining documentation and supporting key deliverables.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Create and maintain actuarial models for pricing reinsurance quotes, research projects and/or experience analysis.
  • Peer review actuarial models and results performed by other team members.
  • Perform experience studies under the direction of senior team members.
  • Ensure models meet corporate guidelines and reflect best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation of pricing and/or research materials, actuarial models and experience studies.
  • Maintain and provide support for US Life tools.

 

Qualifications:

 

You are a highly motivated individual who can work in an open, collaborative environment with a diverse team of financial professionals.

  • No prior experience in life reinsurance or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related discipline.
  • Working towards an Associate in the Society of Actuaries or equivalent designation.
  • Knowledge of programs such as R, Excel, SQL, Tableau and Python is beneficial.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities efficiently.
